The revamped track, launched under ManHaddon Ministries in partnership with Tyscot Records, marks a pivotal moment in Haddon’s 25-year journey in gospel music, bringing together an extraordinary lineup of gospel legends and industry innovators.
The song features powerhouse voices including Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, John P. Kee, T Church, and renowned hip-hop producer Zaytoven, blending traditional gospel elements with contemporary urban sounds. The collaboration delivers a dynamic fusion of praise, worship, and rhythmic energy that underscores the song’s original message of spiritual freedom and breakthrough.
Reflecting on his decision to reintroduce the song, Deitrick Haddon shared his deep connection to the track’s history. “Chain Breaker was the song that shifted the sound in gospel music back in ’99. It was ahead of its time. Now, 25 years later, I wanted to recreate that moment and show how far gospel has come while celebrating this incredible milestone in my career,” he said.
