The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has firmly denied a viral report alleging that its General Overseer, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, accused the United States of attempting to exploit Nigeria’s natural resources and dismissed reports of Christian genocide in the country.

In an official statement released via Pastor Kumuyi’s verified X account on Monday, the Deeper Christian Life Ministry described the claims as “false, malicious, and entirely fabricated.” The report, which originated from an online platform and quickly gained traction on social media, alleged that Kumuyi made the controversial remarks during a press briefing in Lagos.

“The story with the headline: ‘America is Trying to Steal our Natural Resources; There is No Christian Genocide in Nigeria, says Pastor Kumuyi’ is a total fabrication and the figment of the imagination of its authors,” the church stated.

The ministry clarified that Pastor Kumuyi has been fully engaged with the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK)—an international evangelistic outreach that recently held events in Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Pakistan.
