Church Must Repent Before Nigeria Can Heal, Says Pastor Gbile Akanni
By Church News
Pastor Gbile Akanni has emphasized that Nigeria’s path to healing begins with the church’s repentance. According to him, the spiritual condition of the church directly affects the nation’s destiny.
“The nation is sick because the church is sick. Nigeria will not heal until the church repents,” Pastor Akanni stated, urging ministers and believers to return to biblical foundations. He stressed that the church’s failure to live out its calling is the deeper issue behind Nigeria’s challenges, rather than just blaming government leaders.
According to him, the church needs to repent and return to its spiritual roots for Nigeria’s restoration to occur and warned against materialism, compromise, and shallow Christianity, which have weakened the church’s influence on society.
Pastor Gbile Akanni emphasized the need for genuine discipleship, holiness, and truth within the church.
