Christian Movie Review: Saved by Grace EP1 & 2

Richard Smith’s Saved By Grace is an inspirational and heart-warming series and fans of The Encounter and Touched by an Angel will love this.

With themes of redemption and forgiveness, we are encouraged to know that God is with us and can take us at our lowest points, pick us up and turn our lives around. This series is well worth watching.

Saved by Grace | Pure Flix Original Series | Official Trailer

This five-episode series is similar in style and perhaps feels like a bit of a mix between The Encounter series & Touched by an Angel.

Following two angels, Jeremiah and Grace who are sent by God to answer prayers and change lives. There are no change meetings or coincidences in life.

Angels are amongst us and God has sent them on a mission to intercede on behalf of whispered prayers. Every encounter presents a new opportunity to change your approach to life.

It is wonderful to see how the interactions with the angels play out and there is plenty of humour, tension and emotion throughout the episodes.

Cameron Arnett & Jennifer Taylor who play Jeremiah and Grace are fantastic in their roles and bring the right amount of compassion and mysteriousness.

Episode One follows Jack, a former police officer, estranged from his wife and son. He is about to rob a bank when an angel knocks on his car window. What follows is a humorous and emotional journey with a few twists and turns. This episode is a strong opening to the series.

Episode Two follows Lily, a caring high school student who blames her father for an accident which put her mother into a coma. Again this episode is emotional and has some humour but carries on the strong redemption themes.

Overall Saved By Grace is an inspirational movie and we are encouraged to know that God is with us and can take us at our lowest points, pick us up and turn our lives around.
