Christian Movie Review: Identity Crisis

Christian Movie Review: Identity Crisis

By Marie

Identity Crisis is an inspirational, entertaining and powerful family-friendly comedy that helps us to realise our true identity in Christ. The film follows Madison who is a shy but intelligent science student in her freshman year of college, struggling with imposter syndrome and insecurity. She figures out how to clone herself using an old computer to create the perfect identity and send her off to do all the things she is afraid of including dating Trevor. While her clone takes over her life, she discovers her identity in Christ and that she has already created the perfect version of herself. This is the latest film from the Boylan Sisters (Alexandra Boylan and Andrea Polnaszek), whose incredible films include The Greatest Inheritance, Switched and Wish for Christmas. The Boylan Sisters are making their mark on well-written, well-produced, fun, family faith-based films, and Identity Crisis is no exception. This movie has all the hallmarks of the Boylan Sisters’ previous films, the solidly written story combined with strong acting, especially from Scout and Sophia Tayui -Lepore who play Madison and Clone, and great direction from Shari Rigby. This strong combination helps to draw you into the film and take you on Madison’s journey, you’ll laugh and cry alongside her as she navigates her way through life and life alongside her clone as she realises her true value in Christ. Also Read: Harvest Church Call For Volunteers
