Christian Movie Review: An Unlikely Angel

By Church News

An Unlikely Angel is an entertaining, heartwarming family movie, it encourages us to put Jesus as our priority, to put Him at the centre of our family and to get our priorities right, so we are not overwhelmed by the craziness of life. The film follows Janie, a workaholic who is falling apart at the thought of becoming a first-time mum. She whispers a small prayer for help and it’s answered in a very unlikely way when an angel intervenes and fast forwards her life. Janie is lucky enough to be given a second chance, but will she change before it’s too late? This is a well-produced and directed film with some great locations, an inspirational storyline and fantastic acting. The cast brings believability to the story and carries the film along with wonderful acting from Jillian Murray, Robert Amaya, Aaron Mees, Sam J. Jones, Brittany Goodwin and Delyla de Castro. There are many twists and turns within this film and you’ll be wondering how things will turn out and end, but it is packed with emotion and encouragement, that no matter what happens, no matter what we have done, our God will always give us another chance, He is a God of grace and mercy, of love and second chances. The film also reminds us to put Jesus first in our busy lives, and to get our priorities right; Jesus, Family. Jesus should be at the centre of our life, our family and all that we do.In this day and age, it’s hard not to get too caught up in the busyness of life and forget to spend time with the Lord, prioritize family, and enjoy a simplified life.In an overcomplicated world, we must remember that we can’t control everything in our lives, and our children are growing up too fast. Being a parent is scary, and the fear of trying to do it all can become overwhelming. It’s such a relief when we realize that we aren’t alone on the journey, but we have a God that wants to help us.ALSO READ Christian Movie Review: It’s Christmas Again
