Christian Coalition Declares ‘Enough is Enough’ Over Nigeria’s Security Crisis
By Marie
In a bold and urgent call for action, a prominent Christian coalition in Nigeria has issued a strong statement condemning the ongoing insecurity plaguing the nation, declaring that “enough is enough.”
The Joint Christian Body, comprising leaders from various denominations, expressed deep concern over the rising violence, kidnappings, and attacks that have endangered lives and disrupted communities. The coalition stressed that the worsening security situation is unacceptable and urged both the government and security agencies to take decisive steps to protect citizens.
Nwankwo Tony Nwaezeigwe, PhD, president of the International Coalition against Christian Genocide in Nigeria (ICAC-GEN), said: “Enough is enough.” It went on to say that a Christian is “no longer the worth of a Fulani cow.”
“It has become obvious to the Nigerian Christian that the Government of the day, both Federal and States, are shamelessly supportive of the ongoing senseless and gruesome killing of innocent Christians.”
“Insecurity has reached alarming levels, and it is time for leaders to prioritise the safety of all Nigerians,” a spokesperson for the group stated. “We cannot remain silent while innocent people suffer.”
The Christian leaders also called for unity among religious and civic groups to demand stronger measures against criminal activities. They emphasised the need for justice, urging authorities to address the root causes of insecurity while ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable.
With growing concerns across the country, many are echoing the coalition’s sentiments, hoping that this decisive stance will prompt urgent reforms. As calls for action intensify, Nigerians remain watchful, waiting for tangible solutions to restore peace and stability.
