Christ Apostolic Church Holds Humanitarian Services for the Aged, Widows and Elderly

Christ Apostolic Church, Watered Garden, Tanke, Ilorin State has put smiles on the faces of 127 aged people and widows that benefitted from its humanitarian services.Also, an officer of the Nigerian Police Force, F Division, Ilorin, Kayode David, was among four other people honoured at the event that concluded a week-long prayer and humanitarian service of the church.Speaking with journalists at the event, the Lead Pastor of the church, Jesutowo Adekanmii, said the rationale for the humanitarian assistance is just a simple truth about the gospel.“The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is all about love. It’s all about care. It’s all about showing affection for the love of God.“So everything you saw throughout that week is the practical example of true religion. What we did was to take care of the aged, fathers, and mothers in our society.“But it is just to show the love of God. We also visited the orphanage home to show to the world the truth peace Jesus preached about,” Adekanbi saidWhile promising that his ministry would sustain the act of magnanimity to the less privileged ones in society as long as God increases the capacity of the programme.“I wouldn’t know all the contents contains in the handout, but it is foodstuffs majorly. The programme was incorporated into the vineyards anniversary and as far as God provides for us, we are planning to increase the capacity of the programme.“With the empowerment that took about N600,000, the message I project is a message of love and care for people. That is the only way we can show love to our neighbours. The only way we can serve God is to serve humanity.“We had lots of Muslims that benefited from the event to signals that Jesus died for the whole world. The only thing we do at Watered Garden Assembly is to collect tithe and use it to impact the society,” the clergy stressed.He, therefore, called on the well-to-do people in the society to always consider the less privileged ones as part of them by reaching out to them both in-kind and cash.The beneficiaries across the state have continued to express their satisfaction to the man of God, Pastor Jesutowo Adekanbi for coming to their aid saying he has wiped away their tears.READ ALSO: Seventh-day Adventists President writes Venezuelan members amidst challenges
