CCC to Celebrate 70th Anniversary in August

The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) will be celebrating its 70th anniversary in August.According to the harvest chairman, Brother Gbenga Daniel-Adebayo Arch Diocese and national headquarters, Makoko, Lagos, being the first church established by the late Pastor and founder, Reverend SBJ Oshoffa, the 70th anniversary of the Makoko Parish is a significant milestone in the evolution of the church’s evolution.The parish, situated at the heart of the historic Makoko on the popular Celestial Church Street, was founded by itinerant fishermen who accompanied the founder on his missionary journey.Celestial Church of Christ, Makoko, which was founded in 1951, is fondly called the ‘Mother Church’. It is the birthplace of thousands of parishes across the globe.Speaking on the occasion, the Shepherd of the church, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde, said that the special anniversary is themed: ‘Return of the Lord’ and is anchored on the book of Jeremiah 29: 10.The anniversary events commenced on the 27th of June, 2021, through the 2nd of August 2021.“The month-long activities will feature the commissioning of a legacy project for the benefit of the Makoko community, free medical outreach, provision of relief materials to members of the public, gala and award dinner, open-air revival, music concert, youth development, and empowerment programmes and so much more. Activities will come to a head with an anniversary thanksgiving service on Sunday 1st of August 2021 and a love feast on Monday 2nd August 2021 at the church auditorium in Makoko, Yaba Lagos.”READ ALSO:  UACC President Says Nigeria Will Overcome Insecurity Challenges
