Catholic Church Bombed By The Military in Myanmar

A Catholic church has come under heavy attack by the military in Myanmar. It is the second Catholic church to be bombed in the State.Currently, there is unrest in Myanmar as a result of tensions between the Burmese army and local resistance groups.The residents of the areas hit decry the unending heavy shelling, stating that many have been displaced and are defenseless.Fortunately for the church, there were no victims. Everyone was relocated in advance because of the frequent bombings in the area.One priest has described the situation thus, “We are in a situation of urban warfare that has not been seen in Myanmar since 1948”.
