A delegation of the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria, and Overseas, led by the Director of Youth, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro has paid a courtesy visit to the Management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State.

This was in light of the commencement of the National Campus Crusade which kicked off last week at the campus.

The delegation was received by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. S. Bamire; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. O. M. A. Daramola; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Technology and Innovation, Prof. A. I. Akinyemi.

Prof Bamire acknowledged the visit while expressing his delight to receive the delegation, noting that CAC has played many important roles at different times in his life.

The OAU VC who prided in being a committed CAC member stated, “I am deep-rooted in the administration of CAC. My Dad warned me that I must not leave CAC.”

Addressing the University Management, CAC Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Gbuyiro said that “one of the assignments the Church has given us is to make sure that the campus fellowship is growing,” informing them of the commencement of the national campus crusades at OAU campus.

“It is a pleasure to be here and to see you. We have been hearing good things which the Lord is doing. Anywhere we find a CAC member, he is representing our family,” Pastor Gbuyiro told the VC.

Appreciating the visit, the VC said, “CAC is a firebrand in terms of prayers and faith whenever anyone hears about CAC, two things – prayers and mountain tops.”

In his remarks, the DVC Admin, Prof. Daramola who is also a member of CAC said, “God will not allow His project to fail” expressing that the youths of the Church on campus are of good conduct.

“We are proud of these students, they are doing well. They are representing us well in the community,” he said.
