CAC Yaba Choir Celebrates Its 84th Choir Festival

Christ Apostolic Church  Oke-Ibukun, Yaba Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC) headquarters,  celebrated its 84th choir festival anniversary with a vibrant musical concert recently drawing a capacity crowd of church members, dignitaries, and music enthusiasts.

The choir festival tagged: New Glory, showcased the choir’s dedication to spiritual excellence and musical artistry, reaffirming its affiliation with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM).

The concert highlighted a series of powerful musical renditions by the main choir, including “Nye Chukwu Ekele”, the traditional “Chant of Psalm 8” by Henry Lawes in B-flat, and “Righteousness Exalts a Nation” by Seun Owoaje.

Other notable pieces included “Adom Noa” by James Varick Armaah and “Omi Iye,” with lyrics and music composed by the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Dr. D.K. Olukoya, and expertly arranged by Dr. Ayo Oluranti.

The Superintendent of CAC New Covenant District, Lagos, Pastor Abraham Ekebafe during his ministration centred on the theme ‘A New Glory’, emphasized that God is not only glorious but the Father of Glory, referencing Ephesians 1:17.

He noted that experiencing God’s glory requires following the pattern set by Jesus Christ, paralleling Moses’s adherence to God’s instructions when constructing the Tabernacle.
