In a landmark event for theological education, the CAC Theological Seminary Lagos Campus recently hosted its inaugural Academic Summit. This significant gathering brought together scholars, clergy, and students to engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary theological issues and the future of ministry.
The summit, themed “Theology in a Changing World,” featured a series of lectures, panel discussions, and workshops led by esteemed theologians and church leaders. Topics ranged from the role of the church in modern society to the integration of technology in ministry, reflecting the diverse challenges and opportunities facing today’s religious communities.
Dr. Samuel Adeyemi, the seminary’s president, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This summit marks a new chapter in our commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth. It provides a platform for critical thinking and dialogue, essential for equipping our students to serve effectively in a rapidly evolving world.”
Participants praised the summit for its insightful presentations and the opportunity to network with peers and mentors. “The discussions were both enlightening and inspiring,” said seminarian Grace Oladipo. “It’s encouraging to see the church addressing relevant issues and preparing us for the realities of ministry today.”
The success of the inaugural Academic Summit has set a positive precedent for future events at the CAC Theological Seminary Lagos Campus. Plans are already underway for next year’s summit, with hopes of expanding its reach and impact.
As the seminary continues to foster a culture of learning and innovation, the Academic Summit stands as a testament to its dedication to shaping the next generation of church leaders and theologians.
