By Church News

Bishop Wale Oke has been re-elected as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) for a second term. The re-election took place during the PFN’s 18th Biennial Conference in Abuja. The event gathered thousands of delegates from across the country, eager to witness the continuation of Bishop Oke’s impactful leadership.

Bishop Oke’s re-election was endorsed by the members of the PFN Advisory Council, solidifying his leadership of the influential Christian organization that represents millions of Pentecostal Christians across Nigeria. He first assumed the role of PFN President in March 2021 and has since been instrumental in driving the fellowship’s growth and impact.

Expressing his gratitude for the renewed mandate, Bishop Oke shared on Instagram, “Honoured to be re-elected as President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ. Galatians 3:28.”

Under Bishop Oke’s leadership, the PFN has witnessed a profound transformation. His tenure has seen the intentional inclusion of younger generations in PFN’s activities and decision-making processes, creating a vibrant and forward-thinking movement that appeals to all generations. His focus on inclusivity and leadership development has empowered a new wave of Pentecostal leaders who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities.

The PFN has also expanded its scope beyond being an umbrella body for Pentecostal churches, engaging in social intervention projects that address youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, and national development. Initiatives such as the “Greater Nigeria Crusade” and the “North-South Support Program” have been launched to promote national unity and address pressing socio-economic challenges. These programs have provided support to underserved communities, offering educational opportunities, healthcare services, and economic empowerment initiatives.

Bishop Oke’s re-election has been widely celebrated by PFN members and church leaders, who credit him with transforming the fellowship into a thriving and inclusive body. His leadership has positioned the PFN as a dynamic force in Nigeria’s spiritual and national development. Many see his continued presidency as an opportunity to build on the successes of the past and to further strengthen the fellowship’s impact on society.

The PFN remains committed to its mission of promoting Christian unity, fostering spiritual growth, and addressing the social and economic needs of Nigerians. As Bishop Oke embarks on his second term, the fellowship looks forward to continued growth and transformation under his visionary leadership.
