Bishop Peace Okonkwo Turns 71

Bishop Peace Okonkwo during a special church service at TREM International Headquarters to commemorate her 71st birthday anniversary has called on people to always be thankful to God for His blessings to them.
She stated that God has been keeping the world from Satanic manipulations and attacks, adding that people, especially Christians, should always rely on and be grateful to God.
Mrs Okonkwo, who is fondly called ‘Big Mummy; and the ‘Woman of God with healing smiles’ said God has been the source and sustainer of her progress in life and in the ministry.
She, therefore, called on the congregation to assist her in praising and thanking God for His manifold blessings on her, her family and TREM.
She said, “Let everybody help me praise this God. He is a faithful God. God has been gracious. He is been good. What can I say? Life is more than anything. He did not only keep me alive, He also kept me strong. He gave me vitality. Let somebody help me shout Alleluyah.”
She also heaped encomiums on her husband, the Presiding Bishop of TREM, Bishop Mike Okonkwo; for loving, teaching, moulding and encouraging her. She confessed that she will ever love him.
Bishop Peace Okonkwo, through God, has made great impacts on the lives of many people worldwide. She is a recipient of many awards, which include: the Nigerian Woman of the Year Award (2005), SUMA Humanitarian Support Award (2006), and the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Award (2007).
Bishop Peace Okonkwo also established the Word of Power Group of Schools and is the Founder of the Women of Global Impact and Rehoboth Homes and Skills Acquisition Centre, which has assisted, rehabilitated and empowered many ladies.
