Bishop Oyedepo Celebrates 69th Birthday

The presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel International, Bishop Oyedepo, on Wednesday, 27th September 2023, clocked 69.
A post on his Instagram page reads, “Happy Birthday to God’s Servant Bishop David Oyedepo! We celebrate God’s favor and faithfulness upon your life.
“We pray for fresh grace, more strength, and fresh oil upon you for life and ministry in Jesus’ name! Congratulations sir.”
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, felicitated with Oyedepo on his 69th birthday celebration.
Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said Oyedepo’s lifestyle, reflected in his teachings on love, peace, prosperity, faith and wisdom, remains exemplary even as his dedication to building lasting institutions and a God-fearing generation speaks of his unequivocal commitment to God,
Tinubu also said the words and works of wisdom demonstrated by Bishop Oyedepo continue to resonate within and beyond Nigeria, impacting the economy in education, healthcare, infrastructure, banking, publishing and transportation.
The President acknowledged Bishop Oyedepo’s great strides in pursuing personal, intellectual and spiritual development for humanity while encouraging many to grow through the practical teaching of the Word of Faith with remarkable results in expanding the ministry.
Bishop Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo, Nigeria on September 27, 1954. He is a Nigerian preacher, Christian author, businessman, architect and the founder and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel International.
The Winners’ Chapel International network of churches is located in over 300 cities, in all states of Nigeria, and several cities in 45 African nations, Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States. Oyedepo has been seen as one of the pioneers of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa and has been referred to as one of the most powerful preachers in Nigeria.[citation needed] He is the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as the richest pastor in Nigeria.
He hails from Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. He was raised in a mixed-religious family. His father, Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer. His mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria. He was raised by his grandmother in Osogbo, who introduced him to the virtues of Christian life via early morning prayers. She also taught him the importance of tithing.
The Ministry’s biggest annual meeting Shiloh, is held every December in the Faith Tabernacle. It hosts thousands of congregants across the world.
