Bible sales in the United States have surged, with over 18 million copies sold in 2025, an 11% increase compared to last year, despite declining interest in organized religion.

New industry data reveals that Bible sales are booming across America, even as surveys show fewer people identify with traditional religious institutions.

According to Circana BookScan, sales have been steadily growing since 2021, setting unprecedented records year after year.

In September 2025 alone, an estimated 2.4 million Bibles were purchased, marking a sharp spike in demand.

Total sales for the year have already surpassed 18 million copies, with no signs of slowing down.

Popular editions include the English Standard Version, the Adventure Bible for children, and the She Reads Truth Bible, reflecting a diverse readership
