By Bede

RELIEF has come to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in Makurdi, Benue State, following the donation of some relief materials by Baptist Church to them. The First Baptist Church Kosofe contingent visit led by Revd Festus Olatunde, said the visit became paramount to show love to the people denied better lives in their homes.Though details of the relief materials donated were not made public, according to  Olatunde,  “We went to identify with them and let them know that the church is praying for them, and give them hope. We brought some relief materials, thanks to members of First Baptist Church, Kosofe for donating money and other relief materials for them.”When asked about the response of the people in the IDP camp, Olatunde said they were very excited, but wanted other churches to replicate the gesture. He added: “They were happy and asked us to tell other churches to come and render assistance. These people are going through a lot of challenges, and I want to join my voice with theirs to call on other churches to show them love in giving.”Vanguard
