Adeboye Urges Christians Not to Take Success, Victory for Granted

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye Saturday Christians never to take success and victory for granted.Adeboye, made the disclosure in his goodwill message sent to the Redeemer’s Men Fellowship, RCCG, New Life Assembly, Kubwa, FCT Province 2, at their annual Convention with the theme: ‘Barrier Breakers’.For Christians to remain victorious and soar, Adeboye said they must shatter the invisible glass ceiling and all barriers that can stop them from attaining victory at full measure.He said: “We remain the adversary’s main target. The strategy of striking the shepherd to put the sheep in disarray is as deadly as when it was first devised.”Meanwhile, Pastor Modupe Suberu of RCCG, Region 10 urged Christian women to develop a victorious attitude toward the battles of their lives.The cleric encouraged Christian women to see battles and tribulations as part of a Christian journey.According to her, the objective of the convention which is ‘Total Victory’ was to bring women together to deliberate on family, spiritual and national issues with a view to proffering solutions challenges facing the family and the nation.Suberu said the theme for the convention was apt considering the persecution faced by Christians in some parts of the country. She, however, said that the total victory in God’s endowed grace would overcome all types of confronting situations, adding that the recent happenings in the nation was one of such tribulations.The Bible says we must suffer tribulations to enter into the kingdom of God and the kingdom of God suffers violent and the violent takes it by force.“However, Jesus knew of the killings that is why He said in John 16:33, in the world ye shall have tribulations but be of good cheers, I have overcome the world.” “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, Jesus Christ our Lord had total victory during this life journey experience through the word of God.“There is a particular word of God that is meant for winning a particular battle. Use the word of God to get total victory for the land.” she said. Pastor Ayannike Rotimi urged women to be victorious through prayers by going up to the highest place to tear the devils kingdom down over their families and the Nation.Rotimi said that they should intercede for their homes, churches and the nation. “Worrying changes nothing but prayer can change all things. There is an unreserved power in prayer which you cannot access until you pray.“The devil has this understanding and that is why he is attacking and weakening the prayer life of believers today and the church of God as a whole but victory is sure in Christ Jesus.“We women have to arise to meet the king of kings on behalf of our families, our nation, the church, our children so that things will fall the way God has proposed them to be.” she added.That is why the theme of the convention is very important; we need to do everything spiritually to live victorious lives and part of doing that is to take care of our health.Highlight of the conference include free medical check-up, and “Dorcas Corner’, a stand to take care of the needs of widows.ThisDay
