Zambian Gospel Artist Releases New Album

Esther Chungu, an Award-winning Zambian Gospel artist is radiating the music space with her new album “Umwala”.The amazing body of work marks Esther’s third studio album following ‘April’, and it boasts guest appearances from Minister GUC, Pompi, TIM, Magg 44, Chileshe Bwalya, and more.Much to the ecstasy of her fans and gospel music lovers, Esther Chungu’s “Umwala” was accompanied by an album launch listening party with star-studded guest appearances.The new project features fourteen (14) tracks including well-received singles, Asumbulwe and Fearless.

Pouring out heartfelt appreciation on Instagram, the Lusaka-born singer disclosed she loves every bit of her latest project and is hopeful her fans feel the same way.

“With a heart full of thanks and reverence to the Most High God, Jehovah, and with so much gratitude towards you all we release my 3rd studio Album titled ‘Umwala’, I love every bit of this album and I pray you will too! May God meet you and speak to you in ways only He sees fit,” Esther wrote on Instagram.

In 2022, after a hiatus, the revered gospel star who also doubles as a TV Host released a single titled “Fearless”.According to Esther, she co-wrote the song with her brother seven (7) years ago and decided to revisit it with help from other amazing songwriters.The new single is a follow-up to the well-received “Sangalala” featuring her husband, Pompi, which dropped in 2021.“Fearless” is a song that expresses a Christian’s unshakable faith and strength in God even in the midst of troubles.Meanwhile, the Zambian Gospel artist did not fail to express herself saying;  “Then one of the [twenty-four] elders said to me, “stop weeping! Look closely, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome & conquered!
