The Holy Ghost Convention, organised by Sword of the Spirit Ministries International was graced by many dignitaries this year. This is its 40th yearly Holy Ghost Convention, tagged: “The King of Glory,” which was taken from Psalm 24:7-10.Bishop Francis Wale Oke, the president of the Pentecostal Fellowship (PFN), who also happens to be the founder of the ministry led this convention.There were many other men of God across the nation that came to be guest speakers at this meeting. Men of God like Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedapo, Apostle Joshua Selman, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, Pastor Poju, and Bishop Mike Okonkwo among many others spoke at this Convention.The week-long event took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Agbowo, Ibadan from September 3 to 11, 2022. Expectant worshippers trooped to the International Conference Centre at the University of Ibadan for blessing.One of the high points of the meeting was when the PFN president and convener called Apostle Joshua Selman to kneel before the congregation and prayed for him.He said, “I’m representing over 65 million Pentecostals, we want to unleash this generation to the world. The revival that God has graciously given us in Nigeria shall never die…” All the executives of the PFN present, rallied around Apostle Selman as they prayed for him.A participant that witnessed the event said, “The fact that there was a linkage between the old and new generation ministers and how they were prayed for to take the gospel baton is captivating. The height of love and reception of the older ministers is a wow.”Another participant commented on the disposition of Joshua Selman by saying, “One thing I love about Apostle Selman is, that he recognizes spiritual fathers and mentors who impacted his life and the body of Christ. He is a humble man. He will go far in his generation.”One could also feel the bond of love that Bishop Francis Wale Oke and Bishop David Oyedepo share. When Bishop Wale Oke introduced his covenant friend and brother, Bishop David Oyedepo, for his ministration, the congregation couldn’t contain their excitement as they all screamed for joy when the man of God mounted the platform. The two of them hugged each other on the platform. One could feel the oneness they share in Christ.Bishop Oyedepo has been a regular minister at the convention right from its inception. When he was invited, he had earlier said, “I’m going to be there, I’ll be a part of it.”Also, Pastor Adeboye came to Ibadan with his private jet. He didn’t leave without anointing and blessing Bishop Wale oke and his wife. The atmosphere of the meeting was that of a celebration of God’s goodness.The program ended with praise and worship.Meanwhile, there was a series of praise and worship at another location on the 8th and 9th of September, the stadium in Adamasigba, in Ibadan, was the venue for the worship services.Other music ministers also graced the occasion, Panan Percy Paul, Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan and Sinach among others, led the congregation into God’s presence with worship.The programme indeed was a memorable one.
